EASY TO INSTALL, ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DAMAGE
Installation issues are by far the biggest cause of premature seal failure, in fact a significant number of wheel seals are tossed away before they are even used due to the damage they take during installation. Our wheel seals, to prevent these issues from happening are designed with a stiffer profile which is made of 0.07” thick steel and they have wider crumble zones.
Because of the reasons mentioned above not only are our seals a lot more forgiving during the installation process but more importantly they do not need any special tools to be installed. If you’d like to or the only thing you have in your disposal as a tool is a hammer, you can use the hammer to install our seals and they won’t get damaged, you can see this in the video below. This means our seals eliminate the need to stock or search for special tools for different wheel seals.
BETTER DESIGN, BETTER MATERIAL, SUPERIOR SEALING
Once our wheel seals are installed they do a better job of keeping the contaminants out. This is due to their wide rubber seal, the three ribs on the inside and the four ribs on the outside providing a tighter fit in the hub. Also their unique multi-zone labyrinth design and double wiper system will make sure nothing gets through providing a better protection overall.
LOWER FRICTION MEANS LONGER LIFE
Friction causes heat and heat shortens the life of the wheel seal. Another unique feature of the Torque wheel seal is the low-friction bumper that reduces the heat and consequently the run-in period. The low friction bumper also reduces the torque that is required to turn the wheels. This is enabled by using a nylon based special barrier that causes less friction compared to rubber which is used in other wheel seals.
While Rubber covered front face protects it from the brake heat, the retainer wall on the opposite side facing the oil transfers the friction heat into the cooler oil providing an overall longer life, and superior sealing.
Thanks to these features our wheels seals have an unbelievably low failure rate. Over 100,000 seals that we have distributed so far we haven’t had one defective or leaking wheel seal yet.
In addition to the NBR, we also stock the Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR) covered wheel seals which is a more resistant type of rubber to heat and chemicals.
